Google launched its Nexus 5 officially for sale in India, and there seems to be some confusion over whether the device is in stock or not. Shortly after the devices went on sale, the Google Play store displayed messages saying that it was ‘out of inventory’ asking people to check back in later. It is now alternately showing that the device is in stock and out of inventory.
The demand for the device is expected to be high, given Google’s competitive pricing. Google had priced the 16GB version of the device at Rs 28,999, which is much cheaper than all the recent flagship launches in India which have all been priced over Rs 40,000. The 32GB version of the phone costs Rs 32,999 and was also showing as out of stock on the Play store for the black version.
